Dykes and Moff take tally to 20 to have touched down!

MICHAEL Dykes and Ollie Moffitt have taken the number of RAMS’ players to cross the whitewash to 20 this season after touching down in the past month.

Michael bagged a brace in Saturday’s exciting 27-24 triumph at Taunton Titans, putting him on two tries alongside back rows Josh Collis and Vince Everitt, prop Ant Marris and fly-half Alex Seers.

Meanwhile, Moff’s score in clubhouse corner nudged RAMS ahead of Plymouth Albion in a game they would ultimately go on to win 26-10 and one which matched the club record of 10 consecutive wins to start a league season.

Still leading the way is Jak Rossiter, whose opener against Albion was his 12th of the season, a tally only bettered in National One by Cinderford hooker Nathan Taylor (14, including four against Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday) and Darlington Mowden Park wing Morgan Passman (13).

Max Hayman also burrowed over against Plymouth and it has been a productive month for the hooker, who also doubled up in the 36-10 victory at Leeds Tykes and collected his ninth of the campaign at the back of a maul at Taunton.

The latter method also benefitted James McRae, with the back row also touching down behind a dominant scrum at Tykes to take him to five tries this season.

The total puts him joint third with Charlie Robson in the list of leading scorers for RAMS this season, the electric back three paceman having also touched down in Leeds.

The two other players to dot down at the Sycamores were Drew Humberstone and Ellis Jones – and with the latter sealing the bonus-point with the final play against Plymouth – they have both moved onto three tries along with Henry Bird, Ollie Cole, Connor Hayhow and Axel Kalling-Smith, the latter having crossed after just 24 seconds of Saturday’s win at Titans!

Joining Moff on a single try each this season and rounding out the list of scorers are James Baker, Ross Crame, captain Robbie Stapley and Ollie Taylor.
