U13 continue to start their season strongly another win today this time against Grove, a side we had not played before. Slightly trepidatious going in (a few key players away this weekend and unknown standard of the
opposition) we certainly walked away happy with a decisive scoreline of 62-5 in our favour
We played 60 minutes of rugby in total, split into 3 20 minute sessions - the first saw a cautious start with Grove putting some decent opposition up and making us work for the ball, but 14 nothing at the end of that session still put us on a firm footing. The second saw us let one try slip through against us, which proved to be Grove's only points of the day - however we started to dominate after that and put another 5 tries in, putting the game out of touch if it wasn't already. By the final whistle we had managed 10 tries in total and converted 6, with some decent kicking from Ben Ireland and Dan Bennett - top try scorer was Alex Sutton with 3, who is new the club this season: it's a promising start for him.
