Something to forget on Rememberance Sunday

After putting a shed load of points on recent opponents the U13s travelled to Amersham & Chiltern for what was always going to be a challenging fixture.

On a bright but sunny day our 1st team kicked off for the first third, of three surprisingly.

60 minutes later we were on the wrong end of a 65-0 thrashing. The future Prime Minister & 2018 Sports Personality of the Year was only partially responsible for the defeat. Our forwards worked hard & held their own in the scrum, however our backs went missing where it counts. The highlight of the match was the immaculately observed two minutes silence, with both teams standing side by side on the half way line.

Next up were our undefeated Development squad, surely Amersham couldn’t have that much strength in depth? Hmmm……. 60 minutes later & a score of 63-10 against us. Well done to Madge & Barnaby for getting on the score sheet.

Overall a lesson in rugby which will hold us in good steed for the rest of the season.

(Apologies for the brevity of this report – Master Scribe has been distracted this week by the gee gee’s)
