As some of you will know every Monday eve there's about 10 teams playing tag at the club. We've got about 30-40 players (including 10-12 ladies) who are associated with Redingensians (either coaches, parents including mums, friends, supporters and even a son or two) playing for our teams. There's three teams at present Redingensians Coach Potatoes Black and Red and Too Old to Catch.

Even Matt aka 'Flag Dude' has become 'Tag Ref Dude'!

With 30 active squad members in Redingensians Coach Potatoes - we are now looking at fielding another team - Redingensians Coach Potatoes Blue - we've five players already including two ladies and would like to get to about 10-12.

Whilst speed is clearly an advantage we are not all fast or fit and still do all right. Fitness helps but with rolling subs, half size pitches and only 20 mins each way you can build in to it. Mostly it's about fun, being part of a team and having a beer/eats afterwards. Albeit Redingensians Coach Potatoes Red did come 4th last league and Black are top of the league at the moment - Red also won the most coveted prize of most social team last league!

If anyone is interested please let me know - or if you have any parents, colleagues, kids (age 15 plus), mates etc who might want to play please put the word out.

Next league starts 7th Sept, there's a taster eve on 24th Aug (current league finals days) or just get in touch with me and come and have a go any Monday.
