Summary:

Having joined during the early part of the 1998/99 campaign, Greg first crossed the whitewash in a 34-12 reverse at Devizes, going onto enjoy his most prolific season at the club with six tries.

These included one at North Dorset in a 41-26 triumph at North Dorset, a result which confirmed Redingensians would stay up in their first season back in Southern Counties South.

Greg grabbed braces against Swindon College Old Boys and Bournemouth in his second season, the latter coming in a devastating 53-14 victory which concluded the season.

Having taken over kicking duties, he also finished as the club’s top points scorer with 81, an accolade he matched the next year when he added another 90.

Five more tries followed in 2000/01, including two more against Swindon College Old Boys as Greg went over both home and away.

As Director of Rugby in the 2001/02 season, he was left fuming despite scoring at Marlow as Rams blew a 24-20 lead with four minutes remaining to go down 32-24.

Greg’s final try came in a 17-6 home success against Slough, but it was a rare beacon of light in a tough South West Two East campaign which saw the side finish 10th with just six wins from their 22 games and slipping back into Southern Counties South.

Alongside his 17 tries, Greg kicked 49 conversions, 24 penalties and six drop goals to end his time with the club on an impressive 273 points.
