EVERGREEN JJ Bell was crowned Horde (5th XV) Captain’s Player of the Year after his exploits helped the side win the Thames Valley Invitation League.
The back three ace’s try-scoring form proved key in claiming silverware, his 60-metre wonder-try at Reading Rhinos one of the highlights of the campaign.
He also bagged a brace in the final game of the season against Egham Hollowegians 2nd XV, and player-coach Jack Gaylor beamed: “Not many players can rely on a specific skill so reliably, but JJ’s sidestep continues to cause opposition nightmares.
“Both the Centaurs (3rd XV) and Horde have relied on him throughout the season, both on and off the pitch, and JJ continues to deliver consistently.”
*Congratulations JJ, the Reading try lives long in the memory!
