PROLIFIC try-scorer Declan Grobbelaar was named Players’ Player of the Year as the Colts held their end-of-season awards night.
More than 100 people were at Old Bath Road to celebrate another memorable campaign in which the side defended their OBB Division One title unbeaten for the second season on the spin.
Their only defeat came at Rosslyn Park in the last 16 of the National Cup, and a series of superb displays featured Declan running in plenty of tries.
The South African’s hot streak began with the match-winner in the hard-fought 24-19 last 64 cup clash at Chinnor, the wing bagging a brace against the same opponents a week later during a 54-0 league triumph.
Another arrived at home to Marlow before Declan’s late double saw his side past Tring in the cup.
