DERBY DAY WITH CHINNOR TO BE LIVESTREAMED!

DERBY DAY WITH CHINNOR TO BE LIVESTREAMED!

Rich Ashton10 Mar 2022 - 13:59

Collaboration will break new ground for National League!

RAMS are delighted to announce our first-ever Friday Night Lights National One home game with neighbours Chinnor will also be livestreamed next week.

National League Rugby had hoped to live stream the derby before Christmas, but Covid-19 scuppered the plans.

However, after positive conversations over the last month or so, they are really pleased to be able to relaunch the idea in a ground-breaking first for the league.

The game will be shown for free on National League Rugby's Twitter and Facebook channels as well as their website.

With the match also being broadcast ahead of the final round of the Six Nations, it is the perfect way to kick-start a huge weekend of rugby for those not able to make it down to Old Bath Road in person!

The initiative is once again being powered by NextGenXV, who are experts in the field of live streaming and they currently lead the way when it comes to covering Schools Rugby.
Like National League Rugby, they are keen to break new ground and the match will also be shown across their own website and social media platforms.

The support from NextGenXV, Rams RFC – in particular CEO Gary Reynolds – and Chinnor has helped make the idea a reality and it is hoped can continue increasing the profile of National League Rugby.

The buzz which has been generated by The National League Rugby Review Show has also accelerated the process of taking coverage of the third tier of English rugby to the next level and with so much still left to play for in National One, it is an ideal time to showcase ‘the best league in the country’ even further.

National League Rugby have also announced the line-up of presenters, pundits and commentators for the live stream as they aim to add some more excitement to what has been a thrilling campaign.

Warren Muggleton, who heads up coverage on the National League Rugby Review Show, will be the main face of the broadcast alongside leading freelance rugby journalist Joe Harvey, while the special guest pundit is the highly-rated Leeds Beckett University second-row John Okafor, who has a vast knowledge of the National leagues.

NextGenXV's co-founder and main commentator Angus Savage will call the action under the lights at Old Bath Road with Talking Rugby Union's Chris Heal conducting interviews from pitchside throughout the evening.

Fans planning on coming to the game are encouraged to book tickets in advance as it is likely to be particularly busy and will help smooth access to the ground.
