FIXTURE CHANGE: DEVELOPMENT XV TO HOST ARMY UNDER 23S

Rich Ashton29 Oct 2024 - 16:30

Another set of Wednesday Night Lights as Red Shirts visit for first time!

RAMS Development XV will now host Army Under 23s tomorrow evening (7.45pm) as they look to make it three wins on the spin.

The game was originally due to be held at the Military Stadium in Aldershot, but has now been switched to Old Bath Road as Rams look to follow up fine wins against Cambridge University (26-10) and the Royal Air Force (19-5).

The Army are building towards the Inter-Services Championship and have played three games so far this season, losing 19-14 to Sidmouth, 64-19 at Cardiff Met University before overcoming Esher Cardinals 33-29 last time out.

The Red Shirts are the defending IS champions having won the tournament in dramatic fashion last November.

They lost 15-10 at Royal Navy in a game where they received a remarkable six yellow cards and a red, but rebounded to beat the RAF 19-9 before the Air Force’s 19-13 victory against the Navy ensured Gareth Slade-Jones’ side took the silverware on points difference.

Entry for tomorrow night’s game is free, with food and drink available. Gates open at 6.15pm.
