RAMS’ National One home game with old rivals Birmingham Moseley headlines this Saturday’s action (3pm).
The Midlanders were the first side to visit Old Bath Road in Level Three, the home side edging out a thriller 25-21 before winning an even more spectacular contest away in the final game before Christmas – Drew Humberstone’s last-play penalty snatching a 29-27 victory.
The spoils were shared when rugby returned post-pandemic, Moseley collecting another dramatic clash at OBR as they edged home 27-26.
And while Rams won both games in 2022/23, their rivals gained revenge for a 50-36 opening day loss to triumph 39-31 in the final game of last season.
Both sides have started well this term – Rams sitting top and unbeaten with fourth-placed Birmingham having only gone down at Plymouth Albion when illness had broken out in their camp.
