FRASER Honey kicked 13 points to help Cornwall open their Bill Beaumont County Championship campaign with a thumping 55-0 success at Surrey on Saturday.
The visitors made a fast start as Honey added to a Matt Shepherd score, the fly-half then knocking over a penalty after Duncan Tout had crossed the whitewash.
The Coaches’ Player of the Season then created a third try, his pass sending over Shepherd for his second.
The conversion gave Cornwall a 22-0 half-time lead, and they pulled further clear on the back of a brace of maul tries from captain Ben Priddey.
Further tries came from Jon Drew and Declan Prowse, Priddey finishing things off with his hat-trick as Honey’s four second-half conversions completed the scoring.
Cornwall travel to reigning champions Kent this Saturday.
