CHIDERA Obonna’s final-play score helped table-topping Richmond extend their lead at the summit to six points with a dramatic 31-29 home success against Rotherham Titans.
Callum Grieve converted early scores from Obonna and Sam Pim for 14-0, the visitors hitting back as Lloyd Hayes added to an Aidan Shortall score before Jamie Cooke crossed the whitewash.
Sam Dardis pushed Mond’ further ahead before Cooke’s second was added to by Hayes for a level game, Luc Jones over and Grieve on target for a 26-19 lead at the break.
Yet Hayes kicked a penalty adding the extras to a John Okafor try, only for Obonna to have the final word right at the death.

Albion moved further clear with a converted Morgan Stone effort, Esher’s Henry Mortimer and Plymouth’s Craig Duncan then exchanging tries, another Putt kick making it 34-17.

Tarling’s converted second and an Elsworth penalty nudged Dings 10 points clear before Powell slotted following an Alex Gilham try for 29-26.

Darlington Mowden Park and visitors Sedgley Park played out a riveting 37-37 draw in Durham.
Tigers’ Warren Seals and DMP full-back Josh Ree exchanged penalties inside the opening four minutes before the former added to a Bertie Bradshaw try.

Mowden hit back as Ree added to a Carl Guest score, the hosts then up 20-17 at the break thanks to a converted Joe Craggs try.
The lead changed hands again as Seals slotted after Matt Sturgess touched down, then landing a penalty before a converted Oscar Usher try levelled things again at 27 apiece.

And while there was further drama at the death, Seals and Ree both missing chances to win a belter, neither could strike as the spoils were shared.
