SCRUM-HALF Ollie Monye has been picked by Great Britain for this weekend’s Rugby Europe Championship Series Hamburg 7s event in Germany.

The livewire No. 9, who hit top form at the back end of last season's National One campaign, is part of a 12-man squad looking to take the crown in the second leg of the competition.

Team GB are drawn in Pool C alongside France, Belgium and Lithuania, with the other eight sides competing Ireland, Spain, Germany, Czechia, Georgia, Portugal, Romania and Italy.

Ireland won the opening event in the Algarve last month, with GB finishing fourth. Georgia were runners-up with France taking the bronze medal.
