PETE LEADING ARMY TOUR DOWN UNDER

Rich Ashton7 Jul - 15:00

Summer signing ready for matches in New Zealand, Fiji and Australia!

ARMY skipper Pete Austin is currently leading his side Down Under for an exciting three-week trip.

The Red Shirts left London for Singapore last week, and have since moved onto Auckland then Wellington, where they have been gearing up for their first game on Wednesday by training at the New Zealand Campus for Innovation and Sport, home of Super Rugby side The Hurricanes.

Next stop is Fiji, where they will play a landmark fixture against Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) for the first time on the island.

Moreover, the game is due to take place at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, acting as a pre-cursor to the Test Match between the hosts and Scotland.

Pete and his colleagues – made up of 26 players and 12 backroom staff – then move onto Australia for further action before making their way back home.

*Rams are saddened to announce Army ace Solodrau Radianirova will be moving to pastures new for the coming season.

The versatile three-quarter debuted at Dings Crusaders in Round Four and went onto bag tries at home to Blackheath, versus Rotherham Titans and Sale on the road, and lastly against Plymouth Albion at Old Bath Road.

He made 13 starts and three substitute appearances.
