Recent Form: Enigmatic!
DMP fell to a final-kick 28-27 home reverse against Birmingham Moseley before the three-week break, having previously pulled off one of the results of the season with a terrific 34-24 triumph at Richmond the week before.
Prior to that they suffered back-to-back defeats to in-form Plymouth Albion (27-17) and Blackheath (43-13), although the latter saw Club somewhat flattered with 28 points coming in the final quarter.
In an extraordinary finish in Round Three, DMP survived a kick with the final play from Cinderford – and the score 20-20 – to go from under their own posts for a length-of-the-field try and 25-20 success.
Another eye-catching result had come seven days earlier when they won 28-21 at Sale, having gone down 22-10 at Chinnor in their opener.
Players to Watch:
Josh Ree – Fly-half – who can also cover full-back – is the second top points-scorer in National One this term, having already racked up 72 (three tries, 12 conversions, 11 penalties).
Joined from Leeds Tykes in the summer, the Cumbrian-born ace having gained his first taste of Level Three having previously played for Kirkby Lonsdale the majority of last season.
Having moved to New Zealand as a youngster, he represented Christchurch and Crusaders at youth level.
Ben Frankland – Hard-running but skilful inside centre is in his eighth season at DMP and has clocked up more than 160 caps and 40 tries.
Looked particularly dangerous in helping create two tries despite Rams’ 43-21 away win last term, and the former Tynedale man also touched down at Old Bath Road in February, 2022.
Harry Yates – Another summer signing, the young centre from Harrogate tops his side’s try-scoring charts to date with four in seven games, including two in his past two games.
While at Northumbria, he played for England University 7s.
