RAMS Rugby will tour Ireland for a second consecutive year as they complete their pre-season fixtures later this month.
Flying over to Dublin on Thursday, August 17, they will repeat last year’s evening fixture against Lansdowne, a side they beat 33-10 in a highly competitive affair 12 months ago.
The capital city club – for whom 100 internationals including British & Irish Lions Shane Horgan and Gordon D’Arcy have played – went onto finish seventh in AIL Division One, while Rams will then head west to take on Cork Constitution on the Saturday.
Munster’s rugby royalty have played in more AIL finals than any other club with 13 appearances, and have won the competition six times.
Illustrious former players include Ronan O’Gara, Donnacha O’Callaghan and Simon Zebo, while they finished last season in third place and promise to provide a big test in what will be Rams’ last hit-out before the National One season starts at home to Birmingham Moseley on Saturday, September 2.
