With the absence our sport for the last 7 weeks the mention of three Rams team members makingThe Rugby Paper's Team of the Season certainly got the rugby juices flowing again.
Ollie Taylor claimed the No 5 spot with team mate Connor Stapley mentioned for their impressive contribution in the Rams' pack.
Vice Captain, Tom Vooght, bagged the keenly contested no 7 slot, described as 'King of the turnover and an absolute problem at the breakdown'.
Rams Captain, Robbie Stapley, took the number 8 position who 'exemplified everything that was good about the powerful unit' and 'inspirational for Rams'
James Baker was the closest contender for the tight-head prop, whilst Ollie Cole, Andy Humberstone and Ben Henderson get well deserved honourable mentions for their respective positions.
RAMS DoR, Seb Reynolds said. 'After the abrupt end to the season it was pleasing to see three players make it into the final line-up and other players getting mentions for other positions. For me the whole squad have had a strong season and this gives us a great platform to improve further. '
Next week RAMS will invite supporters to take part in voting for the first ever Supporters Player of the Season. There will be 5 rounds of votes from Monday to Friday with the winner announced on Saturday 16th May. Please cast your votes on the Rams Facebook page.
