RAMS Sirens returned to Old Bath Road and completed a fine victory against Basingstoke on Sunday.
Some collaboration from both sides helped get the game on as a competitive 10-a-side fixture and one which was played in great spirits.
While the Sirens were victorious in the end, Basingstoke played some good rugby throughout the contest and could have added further tries to their tally but for a couple of errant passes while they were on the attack.
A number of spectators commented on the quality of rugby on show, while Sirens’ manager was delighted with how his side played but also paid tribute to the outstanding defence and commitment shown by the away side.
A free-flowing game was a great spectacle aided by a quality referee who managed the game superbly and allowed both teams to show off their skills.
Forward-of-the-match for Sirens was India Hopcraft, while back-of-the-match was Mariam Adewuyi.
The women will hope to continue their momentum when they travel to Windsor for another friendly tomorrow.
