SIX Rams’ Colts were in action as they helped Berkshire Under 18s to a nip-and-tuck 25-20 victory against Somerset at Hartpury RFC.

Ryan Carr bagged a brace and Jake Scott also crossed the whitewash while flanker and Colts’ captain Aaron Preston, prolific wing Declan Grobbelaar, Luke Thorpe and scrum-half Elliott Jones were also in action.

Berkshire – for whom fellow Colts Mason Pennington, Jayden Benham, Ant Jessett, Finlay Wells and Jordan Navetta have also featured this term – have one more trial against Buckinghamshire next month, the South West squad then picked towards the end of January.
