JOHN Snoddon’s sensational first season at Rams saw him named Centaurs’ Captain’s Player of the Year.
Having missed the early part of pre-season as his inspirational partner Mathilda Hodgkins Byrne secured an Olympic bronze medal in the women’s double sculls in Paris, John proved to be a fabulous recruit after moving to the area.
When presented with the award, he was described as ‘the player who bought into the squad more than anyone, a captain and coach’s dream’.
And while originally a centre, John’s adaptability and team ethic saw him happy to play almost anywhere, but most notably as a regular in the back row.
His commitment to the cause saw him barely miss a training session, while it was noted he was also a big supporter of the club shop!
*Well done John on a great debut campaign!
