Titans side revealed for trip to Forest of Dean!

EXPERIENCED prop Cam Zeiss skippers Rams Titans as they travel to Cinderford United tomorrow afternoon (2.15pm).

The powerful South African is joined in the front row by fit-again loose-head Ant Marris – back after an almost two-month absence – and dynamic youngster Spencer Hayhow, who continues to impress since joining the club in the summer.

Colin Thomson and Sam Hadlington provide power in the engine room, while the outstanding Liam Goodison – who shone at Blackheath last weekend – is joined in the back row by former Colt Roan Noone on the open-side and debutant Lewis Schael at No. 8.

The first-time cap has arrived at Old Bath Road via Bedford School, during which he represented Germany at international age-group level, and now Reading University, and has impressed in training recently.

Sam Boyland and Steffan James are reunited in the half backs, while Axel Kanning-Smith steps up from the bench following a fine performance in London to take the outside centre jersey.

The Swedish international is joined in midfield by Carl Morgan, who again showed his talent in both defence and attack last weekend.

Another debutant at Blackheath, Lailand Gordon, is given his second start after capping an encouraging display with a try on the right flank, while fellow speedster Charlie Robson also crossed the whitewash to continue his outstanding form and will hope to keep up his good work in the Forest of Dean.

South African Josh Hart, whose neat off-loads played a key part in the second-half scores from Hayhow and Gordon last Saturday, completes the side at full-back.

On the bench, Fergus Mackenzie and the returning Rory Paxton offer cover in the front row – the latter equally adept playing on the flank – while Joe Booth and Sam Nicholls provide options at half-back.

The ever-reliable Joe Bridger covers the outside backs as Titans seek to make it back-to-back wins before they return to Raging Bull Shield Division One action at home to Esher 2nd XV next Saturday.
