TEAM NEWS: IOAN AND SOLO SET FOR DEBUTS AT DINGS

Rams make four starting changes ahead of trip to Bristol!

TEENAGER Ioan Emanuel and Army ace Solodrau Radianirova are set for their National One debuts as Rams make four changes for tomorrow’s trip to Dings Crusaders (3pm).

Young prop Emanuel has impressed in his two weeks since joining on loan from Bath, given a first cap as one of two changes in the front row, former Ireland Under 20s man Ryan Lomas slotting back in at tight-head.

Captain Max Hayman – the league’s leading scorer with six tries in three games – is once again in the No. 2 jersey, while the remainder of the pack remains unchanged from the excellent 33-0 victory against Sale last time out.

This means summer signing Nile Dacres is again partnered by fit-again Dan Swain in the engine room, while recent cap half-centurion James McRae, Tom Vooght and Robbie Stapley make up the back row – the latter having reached 100 tries in 228 first-team league appearances against The Dogs last Saturday.

Another 100-plus cap ace, Ollie Cole, makes a first start of the campaign at scrum-half, National One Player of the Week Fraser Honey outside him following a magnificent display versus Sale.

The centres remain unchanged with Rowan Grundy and Axel Kalling-Smith in situ, while Red Shirts star Radianirova makes his debut on the left wing.

The Fijian flyer has often showed his class in The Titans and is now handed the starting shirt, Luke Graham and full-back Zach Clow – both try-scorers last week – rounding out the XV.

Props Paddy Harris and the evergreen James Baker are ready to make an impact from the bench, hybrid star and local lad Morgan MacRae again covering hooker and the back row as he aims to continue a fine start to his Rams’ career which has led to four tries in three substitute appearances.

MacRae’s fellow Oratory School alumni Olise Monye returns to provide scrum-half cover, long-serving Drew Humberstone the last member of the 20-man squad.

Four travelling reserves head to Bristol in the form of prop Ant Marris, second/back row Harry Stone, scrum-half Ollie Hodgson and versatile three-quarter Andrew Lamb.
