TEAM NEWS: POZNIAK SET FOR DEBUT AS RAMS HEAD TO CHINNOR

Rams name 31-man squad for Bank Holiday trip to local rivals!

POLISH international wing Tomek Posniak will make his first start as Rams head to Chinnor for their final pre-season clash on Monday, the visitors naming a 31-man squad which also features Dan Swain starting on the blind-side flank.

Following last week’s terrific 35-28 victory at Welsh Super League side Aberavon, Rams make five changes to the starting line-up as they take on last year’s National One champions and now Championship outfit.

An unchanged front row features Paddy Harris, captain Max Hayman at hooker and record cap-holder James Baker at tight-head, Nile Dacres now joined by Connor Stapley in the engine row.

The presence of the latter sees Swain switch to the back row, Tom Vooght on the open-side and Ben Atkins moving to No. 8.

Ed Hoadley gets the starting nod at scrum-half with Fraser Honey outside him, a new-look centre pairing of 50-cap plus men Ellis Jones and Axel Kalling-Smith in midfield.

Posniak – a prolific try-scorer for Esher and Wimbledon in recent years – makes his bow on the right wing, with Zach Clow and full back Andrew Lamb rounding out the starting line-up.

Four props are named on the bench in the form of Ant Marris, Ryan Lomas, Liam Bishop and Terrel Harry, while Morgan MacRae is set for a debut either at hooker or in the back row as he is joined by Brad Clements in adding further cover further up front.

Reading University alumni Liam E|ston impressed at lock against Birmingham Moseley in the final National One game of last season, while former Mini Ross Crame produced a typically action-packed display off the bench in Wales and is able to cover both the second and back rows.

Further forwards reinforcements come via impressive debutant from last week, Harry Stone, another young gun, Mikey Duda, and club legend Robbie Stapley.

Ollie Cole and Olise Monye await action at scrum-half, with the redoubtable and versatile Drew Humberstone, Isaac Tokura and fellow youngster Ikechi Mere completing the squad further out wide.
