RAMS ring the changes with six swaps to the starting line-up for tomorrow’s National One trip to Sedgley Park (2.30pm).
Tight-head prop Nick Barry steps up from the bench to make his first start for the Old Bath Road men, captain Max Hayman – a try-scorer on his return last week – and Paddy Harris completing the front row.
Dan Swain reverts from blind-side flanker to the engine room alongside Nile Dacres, with the experience of Tom Vooght and the dynamism of No. 8 James McRae – the duo with more than 230 caps between them – joining Ben Atkins in the back row.
There is a maiden start at scrum-half for Royal Air Force man Sam Boxhall – impressive in two cameos as a substitute against Birmingham Moseley and Plymouth Albion – while Fraser Honey extends his run as a starter to 47 matches at stand-off.
Joe Pannese regains the No. 12 jersey with last week’s two-try hero Axel Kalling-Smith moving from the wing to outside centre.
Another to cross the whitewash against Plymouth, Zach Clow, is another positional mover as he switches from full-back to wing, Polish international Tomek Pozniak on the other flank as Andrew Lamb returns to complete the side.
England Under 20s loan debutant Scott Kirk is joined by the irrepressible and record-extending James Baker as prop cover, while the hard-hitting Harry Stone is equally capable of playing in the second or back row.
A try-scorer on his last first-team outing at Leicester Lions, Oli Rhoads is back on the bench and joined by fellow youngster Ollie Hodgson, the scrum-half who did well at Birmingham in Rams’ last away game.
Three travelling reserves are named for the long trip to Manchester, hooker Morgan MacRae joined by prop Liam Bishop and Jamaican flyer Jack Rampton, the latter fresh off the back of an outstanding man-of-the-match display for the Development XV against The Army.
