At Christmas the current U16s present to a member of their squad the Jack Wakefield Playing for Jack Trophy. This tradition stretches back to their U8s days. They had travelled down to Isle of Wight to play a festival & were lucky enough to meet Jack & his family whilst on the island. Jack was 3 years old & had terminal cancer. He sadly died on 21st June 2006. Our lads didnt see the tubes or how ill Jack was, all they saw was a young boy who loved rugby.

The award is presented to a player who shows 100% commitment, listens to his coaches, puts into practise what hes being taught. He probably wont be the most talented player in the squad, but hell be a fighter just like Jack.

The award this year goes to Daniel Lavorchik, affectionately known by one & all as Danielski. The effort hes put into his game over the last two seasons is immense, hes a truly worthy recipient of the award.
