RAMS Titans will play an extra fixture in September when they welcome BUCS Premier champions Brunel University for a Wednesday Night Lights encounter.
The feeder to Ealing Trailfinders came agonisngly close to becoming only the 11th University to reach BUCS Super Rugby as they lost their promotion/relegation play-off to Leeds Beckett having won South A and then defeated North A champions Newcastle to earn the winner-takes-all clash.
Brunel previously competed in the Raging Bull Shield, and defeated the Titans 20-5 at home when the two sides last faced each other in March last year.
Meanwhile, the schedule for this year’s competition has been released, with Titans starting their campaign with a trip to Chinnor Falcons on Saturday, September 9.
Following the Brunel game, Esher Cardinals are next up at Old Bath Road, before Bishop’s Stortford Blues visit on October 7.
Titans travel to Cambridge University for a friendly on Wednesday, October 11, before returning to league action at home to Wimbledon 2nd XV three days later.
A trip to Richmond Vikings kicks off a busy November when the side also face Dorking As (h), and Barnes 2nd XV and Blackheath Heathens (both away).
Titans head to champions Ampthill 1881 to start December, then welcoming the RAF for a friendly on the 6th and Richmond Saxons on the Saturday.
The last game before Christmas is home to Chinnor on December 16.
An away game at Esher on January 20, is followed by February away days at Bishop’s Stortford Blues (10) and Wimbledon (17) before Richmond Vikings come to Old Bath Road a week later.
After a week off, Titans travel to Dorking As before hosting Barnes and Blackheath back-to-back.
And there are two more home games to finish the campaign, Ampthill and Richmond Saxons the visitors on April 6 and 13 respectively.
