SUPPORTERS planning on backing the boys for Saturday’s National One trip to Taunton (3pm) are advised of a road closure which could add time to your journey.

The main road which links Taunton to Taunton RFC is currently closed and the following alternative directions have been advised by the host club.

If you are coming from Taunton it is advised to head across the large roundabout by Wickes and over the overbridge.

Head towards and through Monkton Heathfield, and when you reach the roundabout before the club there are plenty of signs and cones up regarding the closure – but you can go through these and gain access to the club via Hyde lane.

For those travelling from the M5, please follow the instructions below to clarify your routes.

M5 Northbound Junction 25 (Exeter)

• At Junction 25, take exit to Taunton
• At 1st roundabout take 2nd exit onto Toneway / Taunton
• At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto A358
• Stay on Toneway for 1.5 miles before reaching large roundabout and taking the 3rd exit onto Obridge viaduct.
• After going over the viaduct take the 3rd exit on onto Priorswood Road/ A3259
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A3259
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Milton Hill/ A3259. Continue to follow A3259
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Bridgwater road.
• The road has signs and cones up and may look closed, however you do have access to Taunton RFC.
• Turn Left onto Hyde Lane
• Taunton RFC is on your right.

M5 Southbound Junction 24 (Bristol)
• At Junction 24, exit towards Minehead / A39
• At Huntworth Interchange, take the 3rd exit onto Huntworth Lane/ A38
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Taunton Road/ A38, Contine to follow A38
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on A38
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on A38, Go through 1 roundabout
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on A38
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Bridgwater road.
• The road has signs and cones up and may look closed however you do have access to Taunton RFC.
• Turn Left onto Hyde Lane
• Taunton RFC is on your right.
