Having responded positively to an invite to field a side in the Maxi Muscle 7’s touch tournament, an intrepid bunch of 8 Rams players took a once in a life time opportunity to have a run out on the hallowed turf at Twickenham. Whilst only 3 of the side had previous touch experience the side acquitted themselves well and were disappointed to lose in the semi finals to a well organised Bath University side.

In matches of 15 minutes duration Rams beat Keynsham 25 - 5 in the first round and then disposed of Havant comfortably 35 - 5. The quarter finals saw another fine display when quick handling earned Rams a 20 - 0 victory over Frome. The semi final against Bath university was always going to be a tight affair, and against a well organised defensive side Rams lost narrowly 10 - 0.
