Hi to all, its amazing how a bit of sunshine cheers everybody up.

A nice warm sunny welcome from Newbury today! Good to see a near full squad again with just a couple away. It’s starting to help the teams gel.

Some hard fought games today, the coaches have seen what we need to work on with each team to improve their performances.

The more game time each player and team gets the better. We can put lots of things into training but sometimes it takes competitive games for the teams and players to work out what works and what they need to be doing to improve. It was great to see all the players getting involved, even those that we had to loan to Newbury to make their numbers up. So competitive were the players that one of ours scored two good try’s while playing for the opposition.

The games started to get a bit scrappy at the end, maybe tiredness. The teams need to keep their heads, keep their shape and move the ball more quickly at the breakdown. Using the space available more effectively. I think we had the run of play in most games against our opposite numbers.
