All the latest from around the age groups!

KELVIN Babalola’s brilliant hat-trick helped the Colts Extra As to a 52-24 home win against Farnborough.

Having weathered some early pressure it was Rams who hit the front through Nick Dumi, Ben Parsons adding the conversion before repeating the trick after captain Nathan Wilson dotted down.

Farnborough kept coming but were unable to break down a resolute home defence, Rams pulling further clear as Dumi doubled up and Babalola grabbed his first of the day and 24-0 at the break.

Two quick-fire converted tries from the away side reduced the deficit to 10 points, but the Berkshire boys responded with Ollie Preston collecting his side’s fifth score following a mazy run, Tom Knappman with the extras.

Babalola’s converted second extended Rams’ lead to 38-14, further tries exchanged with Sam Shelton getting the hosts’ seventh.

Farnborough refused to give in and crossed again, but it was the home team who finished in style with Babalola completing his hat-trick before Knappman added the coup de grace.

Victory for the Extra As was followed by the As completing the unbeaten defence of their OBB Division One title thanks to a dramatic 22-20 home success against Windsor.
