RAMS Colts turned on the after-burners to overcome Bournemouth-based Oakmedians 63-7 following a sublime second-half display.
In an evening opening period it was the hosts who took the lead as George Bottomley powered over from close range, Matt Cox with the extras before Oakmedians levelled with a converted try.
Bottomley doubled his tally before the break, Cox again on target, and Rams then pushed on ruthlessly after the break.
Nick Dumi crossed eight minutes into the second stanza, Henry Cook following, and with Cox adding a couple more conversions, the home side had a commanding lead.
Further seven-pointers came from Jordan Navetta, Dumi, Cox, Teagan Strydom and Elliott Jones in a contest which was played in outstanding spirit, Oakmedians then proving themselves a class act in adding to the vocal home support in Rams’ National One 30-19 victory against Rotherham Titans.
