ORATORY School captain Cian Tappan and fellow Ram Debo Coker starred on home turf under the Friday Night Lights as their side overcame Pangbourne College 49-5.
In front of a decent crowd of around 500 the duo were joined by another Ram, Charlie Burton, in helping their side to victory, the second row producing a typically combative performance as Tappan also provided three assists.
Hat-trick man Rudi Derbyshire, two-try Archie Wild, Tom Davies and Somto Monye were the other Oratory whitewash crossers, while Cam McKay went over for Pangbourne.
It was a welcome return to action for some of the junior section as Storm Bert wiped out almost all of last week’s fixtures, the Under 13s the only age group able to get anything on as they shared a win and a loss against Amersham & Chiltern.
On what should hopefully a busier occasion today, they host Bracknell (1pm) while the U14s welcome Marlborough (1pm) and also head to Beaconsfield.
The U15s send two teams to Newbury, the U16s at Chinnor and the Colts Extras As visit Witney.
*Next Friday sees another floodlit fixture as Rams host Richmond (7.45pm) in a top-of-the-table National One clash – both sides locked on 49 points with 10 wins after 11 games.
