RAMS overcame a dreadful opening half-hour to make it nine National One wins from nine with a 40-22 home success against Sedgley Park.
Fit-again Tigers fly-half Warren Seals landed a first-minute penalty to nudge the visitors in front, and his sublime cross-field kick then sent Rhys Henderson over for the opening try.
The conversion made it 10-0 as an error-strewn Rams struggled in the early stages, but after Sedgley’s Lewis Bradley was sin-binned, the hosts finally got their act together midway through the second quarter as captain Max Hayman rode over from a maul to level Henderson’s league-high tally of 10 tries for the season.
Fraser Honey landed a fine kick, but just minutes later Rams were temporarily reduced to 14 men, Luke Graham’s interception attempt deemed to be a deliberate knock-on.
Further punishment was added as Park kicked to the corner, Adam Mallinson repeating Hayman’s effort at the back of the set-piece.
Star man Seals was again on target, but the hosts gave themselves a life-line with a penalty try from a formidable scrum – a sign of what was to come after the break.
It was Sedgley who took first blood in the second half, though, pacy wing Bertie Bradshaw sprinting across the field before dotting down in the right-hand corner for 22-14.
Those would be Park’s final points, however, and Rams trimmed the gap to three as Nile Dacres went over from a maul.
The introduction of props James Baker and Ioan Emanuel furthered the hosts’ dominance at scrum time, and Rams hit the front for the first time as Tom Vooght crossed from close range after a spell of sustained pressure.
Honey’s kick made it 26-22, and his side continued to turn the screw as Bob Birtwell was yellow carded as Tigers desperately defended their line.
Daylight came from the resultant scrum, Robbie Stapley touching down at the base before Honey knocked over the conversion, and a final gloss was added to the score-line as Emanuel hoovered up a loose ball from a Sedgley line-out to power over.
A fourth successful Honey kick landed, and with the final whistle blown, the hosts continued their perfect start to the campaign.
Rams welcome Blackheath to Old Bath Road next Saturday (3pm).
