With the adverse weather prospects the Rams moved to Maidenhead for the day in order that the fixture could go ahead, as head coach Seb Reynolds touched on in his post match interview saying, ‘As one of the only games to be played in Nat2S today due to the harsh conditions it's down to the monumental effort from the management and volunteers to get this game on today. We’d like to thank Maidenhead RFC for their hospitality and clearing the pitch over the last couple of days. Both ourselves and Wimbledon really wanted to play so were happy we could get the fixture done.’

Mr Reynolds also spoke on the game saying, ‘Wimbledon had a very strong side out and we knew exactly how dangerous they could be and I felt the way our boys dealt with them with good set pieces and a good defensive foundation and some clinical attacking play was really great to watch.’

The first half lacked dynamism, as Wimbledon dominated possession from the beginning, but with only three points to show for it.
The only penetrating runs from the Rams came through Corrigan, but the Reading men continuously let themselves down in the away sides 22 as their attacks repeatedly broke down due to giving away penalties.

The only try of the half came as the game approached the half an hour mark, with Duffelen breaking and popping the ball off to Corrigan who managed to get the ball to Stapley (Connor) before taking a huge hit, as Stapley ran the ball in under the posts. With the conversion missed the Rams went into half time with a slender 5 – 3 lead.

The second half began in similar fashion to that of the first with neither side able to make an impact, until Wimbledon received a yellow card after 10 minutes, allowing the game to open up.
The Rams took immediate advantage of the extra man and after winning a penalty 5 metres out, from which they have been dangerous all season, once again they converted with Cole taking the ball out the back of the scrum and scoring down the blindside.
The Rams continued to dominate as they relentlessly came forward with captain Vooght securing another two tries and the bonus point following a series of pick up and drives in both cases.
Wimbledon enjoyed a late surge with two tries in the final five minutes but ultimately it was too late as the Rams secured yet another victory, continuing their brilliant season.
