The Rams were playing with very little pressure having already secured 3rd place in the league as put on a show, performing some of their most exciting rugby of the season in front of a large crowd.

Head coach Seb Reynolds was elated with the victory as he spoke to us after the game saying, ‘I though it was a cracking game of rugby, it was one of those games you get few times in a career when all the elements you’ve been working on come together. The defence today was outstanding and conceding no points is as good a success as scoring fifty. Obviously our attack was excellent as well and three of our tries were some of the best I’ve seen all season. Finally, I’d just like to say congratulations to Dave Clements their captain who played his last game today, whose had a brilliant career for Henley and I wish him all the best in his retirement.’

The Rams secured their first try of the game in typical Rams fashion as they ploughed to the line following a penalty line out, with Henderson placing the ball over the line, to get the end of season celebrations underway early in the first half.

The rest of the half seemed to be passing by quietly with only a penalty kick for the Rams to add to the early try, until, just before the 30 minute mark, Corrigan injected some pace into the game, scoring in corner following a mazy run, with Lloyd adding another just before half time to bring the Rams into the break at 22 – 0.

The Rams were Rampant in the second half scoring five more tries, most notably a potential try of the season from Bryant following an unbelievable display of slick handling, passing and movement to completely bewilder the Henley defence.

The game ended prematurely with the score at 51 – 0 to the Rams following an unfortunate injury to one of the Henley players.
