The Rams were in high spirits, coming off the back of a momentous comeback victory against Taunton the previous week to retain their place at the top of the table, and their confidence showed on the pitch.

Despite the emphatic score line Rams head coach, Seb Reynolds, was not taking the win for granted after the match saying, ā€œI think Worthing are a very hard team to prepare for, they score a lot of tries, and their back line is outstanding. But our defensive performance today was really good. We set foundations, our scrum was solid, and our drive was excellent. We also played some terrific team rugby, as the offloading game was there and we made multiple line breaks, so overall Iā€™m very pleased with the result and the performance.ā€

The Rams began as they meant to go on, dominating the opening exchanges and retaining 100 percent possession of the ball, and having won a penalty line out on the right wing following some brilliant work from the forwards, the line out was taken quickly and short to Henderson who ran the ball over the line unopposed to put the Rams in the lead.
It was deja vu when moments later a remarkably similar scene unfolded as Henderson once again took the ball over the line following a penalty line out to double the Rams lead and making him the second highest try scorer in the league.
But not willing to let up, the Rams maintained the ferocious tempo they had set in this game, with Bryant collecting a clearing kick from Worthing, the ball made its way to Humberstone, showing fast hands to pop the ball off to Rossiter who weaved his way through the away sides defence and unselfishly offloaded the ball to Illingworth to round the last defender and claim the try.
At this point all the Rams wanted to get on the score sheet, and coming forward mercilessly once again, this time the break was made from a surprising suspect in the form of Rams loosehead prop, Niall Kidd, who demonstrated electric pace to race away to the line for the home sides bonus point try.
To the relief of the Worthing Raiders the game seemed to be approaching half time quietly, following this barrage, but it was not to be as the Rams made one more dash for the line with Baker taking the ball over the line and signaling the half time whistle with the scoreline at 29-0.

The Rams illustrated that they had not lost their ruthless streak in the second half scoring two tries in the opening ten minutes, coming through Etete and Duffelen respectively, taking the Reading men over the 40 point mark, still yet to concede.
However, with the game entering its closing stages, Worthing fought back to earn two well deserved tries and one conversion from the redoubtable Matt McLean, Nat 2 South's highest points and try scorer, taking the score to 41-12 at the final whistle.
