Start as we mean to go on.

A few players having left us this season, and a few more away meant some rearranging of normal positions. Notable change for us was Jack Williams stepping in from Scrum Half to Prop, also welcome to debut faces Jake, Joshua and Adam who all got stuck in!! Fitness has certainly dipped over the summer, as we had seen in the previous training session; the boys held firm and kept their nerve, if not initially quite playing with the verve we had seen at the back end of U13. So an even first half, approaching half time a Ruislip score levelled to make it honours even at 12 apiece, but thankfully that proved to be the last score for them. The second half our boys picked up the confidence with some superb tackling and great defence, whilst in attack strong running from Lewis Hawton, Dan Bennett and Roan Noone saw the points start to pile on in our favour.
A great start to the season and whilst there is certainly areas to work on, we can be pretty happy with that as an opening performance. Well done all, a good game played in good spirits from both sides.
