Firstly, and in a repeat of last August’s enterprising clash, Seb Reynolds side will play Welsh Premiership side Aberavon, albeit this time away from home on Saturday, August 17 (2.30pm).

Rams won last year’s game 38-19 with Zach Clow at the double and debutant Fraser Honey, Mike Hoyt, Max Hayman and Rowan Grundy also crossing the whitewash.

Aberavon went onto finish eighth in their league, winning nine of their 24 matches.

Rams’ second warm-up game will be at local rivals Chinnor on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26 (3pm).

Nick Easter’s men pipped Rams to the post in claiming the National One title last term, losing just four games all season and only two of their final 22.

The two sides shared the spoils in the head-to-head battles, Rams winning 29-19 at home before going down 21-7 in front of a record Kingsey Road crowd in the final game before Christmas.

Rams begin their National One campaign at home to Darlington Mowden Park on Saturday, September 7.
