Richmond have also put their foot down when it comes to scoring points, a 50-26 success at Sedgley Park following a sensational 54-0 home victory to end Plymouth Albion’s 10-match winning run.

The Londoners had to settle for a 35-35 draw under the Friday Night Lights at Birmingham Moseley, but prior to that they defeated Bishop’s Stortford (38-21), Leicester Lions (26-10), Dings Crusaders (31-14) and Darlington Mowden Park (33-17) during an eight-match unbeaten streak.

‘Mond’s only blip came around the turn of the year, a 32-18 loss at Sale following a 40-22 triumph at home to Esher and 25-17 reverse against Rosslyn Park in their last game of 2024.

Prior to that, however, Richmond went unbeaten during the first half of the season, overcoming Rotherham Titans (31-29) with a final-play score, Rams (7-5), Sedgley (21-6), Plymouth away (20-15), Moseley (42-14), Stortford (43-31) and Leicester (43-12).

A 31-31 draw at Dings followed a five-match winning run to start the campaign, Sale (31-27), Esher (52-17), DMP (48-7), Rosslyn (21-19 with a last-play drop goal) and Blackheath (31-20) all defeated.

Players to Watch:

George Nugent – Second row has been an ever-present this season, with the former Richmond Mini man-of-the-match in his side’s 7-5 victory before Christmas.

Tololima Savaiinaea – Inside centre was Richmond’s Player of the Month for March having slotted into the side from London Welsh.

Has played the past six games since debuting at Darlington Mowden Park, scoring one try, keeping the likes of former Ram Dave Massey, National One Player of the Week when Richmond triumphed at OBR earlier in the campaign, James Langston, and Paddy Case on the sidelines.

Callum Grieve – The versatile three-quarter has enjoyed a terrific debut campaign at the Athletic Ground, sitting as second top-scorer in the league with 231 points to his name (five tries, 79 conversions, 16 penalties).

Former Newcastle and Durham University graduate is another ever-present for the leaders this term, and has featured at full-back, centre and fly-half.
