Recent Form: Stortford’s have been narrowly edged out in their past four games with Sedgley Park (22-19), at Plymouth Albion (24-21), and away to Blackheath (39-32) and Dings Crusaders (39-31).

However, prior to that they defeated Sale FC (14-7), Esher (31-14) and Darlington Mowden Park (33-19) after coming close to overcoming hosts Rosslyn Park under the Friday Night Lights, eventually going down 18-15 at The Rock.

A thrilling home loss to Richmond (43-31) came after Stortford became – and remain – the only side to win at Rotherham Titans (45-34) this term.

That fantastic victory came after Bishop’s were also the first side to deny Rams a try bonus-point, narrowly beaten 10-6 at Silver Leys.

An eye-catching 27-12 triumph at Sedgley Park halted a run of three straight losses – Plymouth (39-20), Moseley (28-14) and Blackheath (39-10) – with Stortford having enjoyed a 36-12 opening-day home success against Leicester Lions.

Players to Watch:

Ollie Jones – Back row came through the club’s junior section and has been a regular for half a decade, reaching 100 caps against Leicester Lions on the opening day of the season.

Chris Bolton – While former Rams loanee Declan Murphy has started the past two games at scrum-half, it is joint top-scorer Bolton who has worn the No. 9 shirt for the majority of the campaign.

Has also added 13 points with the boot this term and has only missed out on one matchday squad this term, having completed a full house in 2023/24.

Joined in the previous off-season having previously played in the National Leagues for Guernsey, Westcliff and Bury St Edmunds.

Dan Powell – Joined in the summer of 2021 and reached 50 caps against Darlington Mowden Park back in November.

Started the season at full-back before a two-match ban for a red card against former club Plymouth Albion, has since returned to go from the off at fly-half in Stortford’s last nine games.
