Top seasonal point-scorer on five occasions between 1990 and 1995!

Total kicks: 92.

First kick: Oxford Marathon – September 12, 1987.

Last kick: Marlborough – September 30, 1995.

Conversions: 31.

Penalties: 60.

Drop Goals: One.

Most kicks in a game: Six – Blandford (October 15, 1994).

Most points in a game: 15 – Blandford (October 15, 1994).

Most kicks in a season: 26 in 1994/95.

Most kicks against: Oxford Marathon and Cinderford – Seven.

Summary:

Steve led the way for ORs in their first-ever league game – a 23-12 Southern Counties success against Oxford Marathon – landing a conversion and three penalties to put his side 19-0 up at the interval.

His side would go onto become champions at the end of the campaign, but despite Steve finishing as top point scorer in the 89/90 and 90/91 seasons, they were relegated from South West Two East at the end of the latter.

Another 40 points arrived in the tough 91/92 Southern Counties campaign, and he went onto also be top point-scorer in both 93/94 and 94/95.

His most successful personal haul came in the 40-10 victory at Blandford in October 1994, when he kicked three conversions and three penalties for a tally of 15.

He ended that season with 70 points, and after adding a couple of penalties in defeats at Wootton Bassett (3-11) and Marlborough (3-18), he finished with an impressive career haul of 262 – including three four-point tries and one five-pointer!
