Summary:
James joined for the 2013/14 season and while he landed a debut penalty at Barnstaple, it proved in vain in a 12-3 reverse.
Things improved after that, however, as Rams would lose just one of their next 12 games and ultimately finish as runners-up in National Three South West, albeit they lost the promotion play-off to Old Elthamians 17-10.
James finished with 66 successful shots at goal, including seven in the 60-5 thrashing of Chippenham, and also scored 21 points in the 26-13 win against Worcester Wanderers (two tries, a conversion and three penalties).
Rams went one better the season after, sealing the title with 22 wins from 26 games, and James set a club record points tally of 266 in a single campaign.
He matched his 21-point best individual haul in the 51-15 victory against Old Redcliffians (six conversions and three penalties), and landed 114 kicks at goal overall.
His final successful effort came in the narrow 20-19 National Two South defeat at home to Dorking.
