He grabbed another a fortnight later as the hosts sealed a bonus-point 39-24 win against London Irish Wild Geese, and went onto cross the whitewash against Exmouth, Cinderford and Stortford again as Rams ended the season in sixth place.

The scrum-half’s most productive campaign came the next year, starting with a score in the 44-16 home triumph against Wild Geese.

He went over in the 36-14 defeat at Chinnor and then bagged a brace in the 47-19 victory against Broadstreet, adding another in the 33-26 victory against Old Redcliffians the following week.

A double in the 29-17 win at home to Bury St Edmunds took his tally to seven as Rams further improved to take a third-placed finish.

Greg’s most recent season – he took a year out in 2019/20 – saw Rams win the National Two South title, and he crossed the whitewash six times, against Worthing home and away, Birmingham & Solihull in dire conditions, Old Albanian, Bury St Edmunds and Guernsey.
