Rams scored five tries, but still ended up on the wrong side of the result in an absolute classic in Devon.
There were some bright sparks as league debutant Jayde Cruickshank scored twice and Craig Clements grabbed his 50th try, while Seb Reynolds and Robbie Stapley also crossed the whitewash.
However, despite leading 21-20 at the break, and with Spike Chandler kicking four conversions and a penalty, the after-effects of a tough midweek Berkshire Cup victory at Bracknell ultimately came home to roost.
High Wycombe 31-45 Rams (January 13, 2007)
It needed seven tries – five of them converted by Spike Chandler – for Rams to eventually see off High Wycombe and return to winning ways after a couple of defeats.
Inspirational player-coach and fly-half Matt Reed bagged a brace alongside Jez Flynn, with Andy Amor, Sam Laskey and Chandler getting the other scores.
Slough 12-64 Rams (March 11, 2006)
Ben Saunders returned from injury to score a hat-trick in an emphatic away win.
The result virtually ensured promotion from Southern Counties North for the visitors, who lead 25-0 at the break.
The home side paid the penalty for over-exuberance with two yellow cards and a red in the 11-try romp.
Saunders’ treble was supplemented by doubles from Matt Reed and Joao Costa, along with tries from Andy Amor, James Baker, Justin Buchanan and Andy Fairweather.
Greg Lynch (two conversions and a penalty) and Amor (conversion) added nine points with the boot.
Rams 58-18 Corsham (March 10, 2001)
Wing Phil Morris raced in for a superb hat-trick as victory helped Gensians stay top of Southern Counties South.
The outcome was never in doubt after the hosts had surged into a 34-0 half-time lead, with the other try men Micky Bell (two), Greg Way (two), Phil Trott and Spike Chandler, the latter also kicking 13 points thanks to five conversions and a penalty.
Marlow 56-20 Rams (March 20, 1999)
Phil Morris, Jez Flynn and Battishill dotted down for the visitors, but Redingensians were well beaten despite Barry Gould adding a conversion and penalty.
Rams 76-0 Aldershot Services (April 4, 1981)
Gensians went on the rampage and ran in 17 tries against an understrength oppositions.
Wings Joe Bell and Lester Hinds grabbed four apiece.
