CoCo stars in Cinderford classic, dramatic draw on the south coast and Clements scores four in Berkshire Cup cruise!

Cinderford 38-40 Rams (March 14, 2020)

In the last game before the pandemic curtailed the season, Rams prevailed in a stunning 12-try cracker in the Forest of Dean.

The visitors took a fifth-minute lead after Alex Seers converted Drew Humberstone’s effort, although Cinderford hit back when Paul Morgan added the extras to a Matt Gilbert score.

Rams went back in front through Conor Corrigan, Seers again on target with the conversion, and they wrapped up the bonus-point through a couple of trademark rolling mauls being finished by Jack Steadman – his first National One try – and Tom Vooght.

Terence Barbarasina cut the gap before the break and Sam Baker then dotted down early in the second half, only for Corrigan to grab his second of the afternoon with a brilliant individual score completed when he regained his own chip ahead and sprinted clear.

Cinderford’s fourth try came from Jack Reeves, but when Connor Hayhow went over for the visitors, the game appeared safe at 40-24.

However, the home side battled bravely and two converted tries from No. 8 George Evans set-up a grandstand finish, only for Rams to hold on for another thrilling success.

Bournemouth 39-39 Rams (April 18, 2009)

Rams completed their South West One East campaign with a dramatic draw on the south coast in a game where they scored six tries.

Peter Freeth was at the double and Sid Matthews, Warren Abrahams, Graham Oakley and Robbie Stapley also crossed the whitewash, with Spike Chandler kicking three conversions and a penalty.

Rams 75-3 Shire Hall (March 7, 2004)

A one-sided Berkshire Cup clash ended with Rams running in 13 tries, Craig Clements with four and Frankie Richardson, Andy Saunders, Graham Oakley, Dan Russell and Seb Reynolds among the others to dot down.

Paul Mackay kicked five conversions to round out the scoring.
