Summary:

Having joined Rams at the start of the 2014/15 season, Jamie made a dazzling impression with 13 tries which helped his side improve on their runners-up finish of the previous season and win National Three South West.

The Loughborough University graduate opened his account with a brace off the bench in the 31-15 home win against Newton Abbot, and followed it up three games later with another in the 51-15 cruise against Old Redcliffians.

His hot streak continued with a hat-trick against Oxford Harlequins (53-5) the next week, before he scored the opener at home to Brixham (49-22).

Another score came in the 31-3 home win against Weston-super-Mare, and a hat-trick in the 32-23 triumph at Exmouth meant he had scored a remarkable 12 tries in eight games, and he added another in the 64-7 thrashing of Chard after Christmas.

With Rams promoted to National Two South, Jamie bagged a brace in the second game of the 2015/16 despite his side going down 29-19 at Old Albanian, although he had to wait until the following February before crossing again in the 23-13 home triumph against Barnes.

As Rams turned their season around and hauled themselves out of relegation trouble, Jamie added further scores against Cornish All Blacks (34-0), Southend (26-21), Chinnor (37-21) and in the 33-33 season finale at Redruth, a result which meant the Sonning men finished eighth.

Restricted appearances meant Jamie scored just once in each of the following two campaigns – in the 39-22 defeat at Taunton in the 2016/17 opener, and against the same opposition in the 31-15 home success of March 2018.

It was in the title-winning campaign of 2018/19 that Jamie hit his try-scoring straps again, running in 11 touchdowns which started with a double at home to Guernsey (48-14).

He scored back-to-back in the wins against Dings Crusaders (33-15) and at Taunton (35-30), and then went over in the New Year as Rams beat Old Albanian 36-21 at Old Bath Road.

Another two tries arrived in Guernsey (59-8) and he completed a seasonal double against Taunton (42-21), before completing his efforts for the season against Worthing (53-7), Redruth (28-10) and at Clifton (45-21) in the win which secured the championship.

Jamie’s game continued to go from strength-to-strength in Rams’ maiden campaign at National One, with the back row named as Rams’ Coaches Player of the Season.

He scored in the first home game of the season – the thrilling 25-21 win against Birmingham Moseley – and the following week at Darlington Mowden Park (11-7).

He crossed again in the 48-22 triumph at Canterbury, and a pre-Christmas flourish saw him bag a brace at home to Plymouth Albion (44-14) and away to Birmingham (29-27).

And before the season was halted due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Jamie added two more scores against Darlington (27-17) and Bishop’s Stortford (35-31) to take him into the 40s.
